Sam's Club Giving Grant

The Walmart Foundation is proud to support the charitable organizations that are important to our customers and associates in their own neighborhoods. Walmart’s founder Sam Walton, introduced the philosophy, “operate globally, give back locally.” Today the Walmart Foundation continues to support local, state, and national organizations that provide opportunities in the communities we serve. Through the Walmart Stores and Sam’s Club Giving Programs, Walmart Stores and Sam’s Clubs can recommend grants of up to $5,000 to local nonprofit organizations.

The Walmart Foundation supports programs and initiatives in four main areas of focus: Education, Workforce Development / Economic Opportunity, Health & Wellness and Environmental Sustainability.

During the Fall of 2009 Randolph County Cornerstone Coalition was awarded the Sam; Club Giving Gant in the amount of $1,000.00. Cornerstone is utilizing this grant to provide a substance abuse curriculum and other educational materials to the Randolph County Elementary Schools.
